Step-by-step: Get the PROMS

In order to use the PROMS, you will need your own research account. Here’s how to get it:

  1. Read the conditions of use.
  2. Fill in all the details below, then submit.
  3. We’ll get back to you when we’ve processed your request!

Conditions of use

Researchers intending to use or administer the PROMS or its derivatives (e.g., PROMS-S; Mini-PROMS;
Micro-PROMS; Modular-PROMS) provided by the Music Emotion Assessment and Personality (MUSEMAP)
Lab at the University of Innsbruck (free of charge) agree to the following conditions of use:

  • I understand that I can use PROMS for research purposes only and that any commercial use is not permitted.
  • I understand that making copies or distributing the PROMS test-battery or any of its component parts is prohibited.
  • In the event of publication of data collected with the PROMS, I understand that the latter sources must be cited as follows:

Failure to comply with any of the above terms will result in revocation of permission to use the PROMS.

Details

Project descriptions must be at least 100 words and include all the required information specified in the corresponding section below. Submissions that do not meet these requirements will not be processed!

(Undergraduate) Students conducting small-scale class projects are encouraged to use the publicly available PROMS versions, where individual scores can be obtained from the feedback page at the end of each session. Research accounts are reserved for scientific research projects and larger-scale assessments (including Master’s theses).

Benefits of the PROMS Research Account

  • You can extend the PROMS by adding questions or questionnaires that are of interest to you.
  • Data are securely stored on server of the University of Innsbruck IT Department.
  • Data collected is yours only, and you can download it at any time as a csv or an SPSS file.
  • Easy access for participants: Only technical requirement is a device with internet connection.
