Music Psychology
Our research into the psychology of music has two main branches: emotions evoked by music and musical ability. We developed the GEMS, a taxonomy that allows to accurately classify and measure music-evoked emotions. Personality Development
Our research in this area focuses on early childhood predictors of personality development. A target of this line of research is the identification of temperament risk factors –early appearing biobehavioral patterns that tend to foreshadow attention, anxiety, and conduct problems.
