Our research into the psychology of relationships has three interrelated lines of inquiry. We conduct research on ideal partner preferences, the development of close relationships over time, as well as on gender roles and gender-related cognitions. Music Psychology

Our research into the psychology of music has two main branches: emotions evoked by music and musical ability. We developed the GEMS, a taxonomy that allows to accurately classify and measure music-evoked emotions. Personality Development

Our research in this area focuses on early childhood predictors of personality development. A target of this line of research is the identification of temperament risk factors –early appearing biobehavioral patterns that tend to foreshadow attention, anxiety, and conduct problems.
