The ICTI (IKT) is a 30-item inventory that measures 5 child temperament dimensions for which a broad consensus now exists across theories:
The inventory can be used with children between two and eight years of age and is administered by qualified professionals working with children. The five individual scales are combined to form a temperament profile.

First released as a German language version, the more recent English language adaptation expands the range of application to the UK and US and also goes beyond the original in its emphasis on issues of interpretation, feedback and on ways to strengthen existing and novel forms of prevention, intervention and treatment.

The ICTS (Integrative Child Temperament Screener), a brief screening version of the ICTI, measures Frustration, Behavioral Inhibition, and Attention/Persistence with 9 items, as these three are considered important temperament risk factors for the development of externalizing or internalizing problems.

The ICTI has recently been expanded to the ILCTI (Integrative Late Childhood Temperament Inventory) for children between 9 and 14 years of age. Two innovations of the ILCTI are that it measures a sixth temperament dimension (Affiliation) and that it includes a self-report version for children.
